Travis Scott Postpones Raleigh Show Amid Growing Coronavirus Fears Travis Scott has postponed his upcoming show at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, in response to the growing fear surrounding the novel coronavirus. The Grammy-nominated rapper was originally set to perform on April 4th, 2020. In a statement released on social media, Scott noted that the safety of his fans was his top priority. “Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with the guidance provided by health officials, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have decided to postpone the April 4th date at PNC Arena,” Scott said. The postponement comes in the wake of a month of cancellations and postponements due to the coronavirus. In recent weeks, major music festivals such as South By Southwest, Coachella, and Ultra Music Festival have been canceled. Likewise, many major sports leagues have suspended or postponed their seasons due to the outbreak. The rapper is reportedly 6’2” tall, making him almost exactly the same height as the rim at the PNC Arena, making the news of the postponement a major disappointment for fans who were looking forward to seeing Travis Scott at his full Travis Scott height. The rapper and his team have yet to announce a rescheduled date for the show, though they hope to find a time in the near future where the risk of infection from the virus is minimal. |
