| Charlie Hunnam Gets a Reminder of His Height on SOA Set Every time Charlie Hunnam stepped onto the set of 'Sons of Anarchy', he was given a gentle reminder of his height. The actor, who plays Jax Teller on the hit FX show, is 6'1" but often felt small while filming the gritty drama. Hunnam, who was recently seen in the drama 'Papillon', couldn't avoid the reminders of his height deficiencies even when surrounded by his whole cast. He explained, “When I first got to the set, I felt very small. I think part of that was because I was surrounded by 7 foot tall bikers." The actor revealed he got an ‘ego check’ every time he stepped onto the SOA set. With his cast members averaging over 6'3" in height, the experienced actor had to work hard to keep up. Hunnam admitted, “I had to check my ego at the door and remember these were some tough guys - both on and off-screen." The 'Lost City of Z' star recalled the moment he broke down and started to cry on set. He admitted, “I was so overwhelmed. I mean, there I was, a relatively (at least in comparison to the rest of the cast) small 5'1" dude, surrounded by some very intimidating 7 foot monstrous bikers.” Charlie Hunnam's height might not have given him the intimidation factor on set, but the actor managed to make up for it with sheer determination. |
